MEET LAVANNA

LaVanna Wrobley is a small business owner seeking to be your voice in the Missouri legislature. She is a leader who has turned big ideas into real results and who leads with courage, initiative, and heart. With a passion for serving others and the talent to move people forward, LaVanna believes in trusting your instincts, making bold decisions, and stepping confidently into spaces where meaningful leadership can make a difference.

Centered on Family, Guided by Values

She raised her family and built her small business in the St. Louis area, where she learned firsthand the values of hard work, personal responsibility, and service to others. LaVanna and her husband, Kirk, are proud parents of two children, both of whom attended schools in the district she is seeking to represent.

Her son, Lyon, is a graduate of Clemson University, where he participated in ROTC and began a path of distinguished service. After graduation, he completed the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course, the Stryker Leader Course, and Ranger and Airborne training at Fort Benning. Today, he serves as a Captain and Ranger Instructor, reflecting the discipline, dedication, and service that defines their family.

Her daughter, Madison, is a graduate of Washington University, a Fulbright Scholar, and a National Geographic Storytelling Fellow. She conducted research in Nepal on water scarcity and earned a master’s degree in the environment with a specialization in urban resiliency from the University of Colorado. She now works as a solar and wind energy developer for Invenergy, bringing innovation and purpose to the future of energy.

A Professional Approach to Strengthening the Community

As a small business owner and a champion for greater educational opportunity, LaVanna understands the real concerns facing students, parents, and entrepreneurs—and she brings the experience and determination to act on them.

LaVanna is the founder of Madyon Consulting, a small business dedicated to managing major projects for nonprofit organizations, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening community engagement with stakeholders and supporters.

Through Madyon, she helped support the opening of North Side Community School, a free charter public school with open enrollment for children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Located in one of Missouri’s most challenged communities, the school reflects LaVanna’s belief that every child deserves access to a strong education and a real opportunity to succeed.

LaVanna is especially proud of her work with BJC Wings, a program that creates meaningful memories, celebrates life, and brings comfort to hospice patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses in BJC’s pediatric hospice and palliative care program. With her leadership and support, Wings is now fully funded through a permanent endowment at BJC.

Most recently, LaVanna expanded the Show-Me Institute’s community reach across Missouri by leading special events, strengthening local partnerships, and bringing people together through meaningful community engagement.

LaVanna holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Committed to Missouri’s 24 Senate District

In the Missouri legislature, LaVanna will work to keep schools focused on education—not politics. She will champion solutions to Missouri’s early literacy crisis and fight for more opportunities that give every child the tools to succeed in school and in life.

As a parent and education advocate, LaVanna has worked tirelessly to help ensure every student receives the strongest education possible. She has brought that commitment to leadership roles including board president of Ladue Chapel Nursery School, vice president of the Reed School Association, board member of the MICDS Parents Association, board member of the University City Children’s Center, and vice president of CEAM, the Children’s Education Alliance of Missouri.

LaVanna supports smaller, more effective government, lower taxes, and the removal of unnecessary barriers that hold back small business owners and entrepreneurs. She will also fight for stronger support for law enforcement to help keep neighborhoods and communities safe.

LaVanna has built a life centered on service, leadership, and giving back to her community. Through professional experience and years of volunteer and board service, she has supported early childhood education, invested in the next generation, and led with a sense of purpose. In the Missouri legislature, she will bring that same leadership and commitment to the work of advancing our state—creating prosperity, expanding opportunities, and building a brighter future for children, families, and generations to come.
